The Grays River Grange is proud to announce that our “Accountability for the Washington State Redistricting Commission” resolution placed before the State Grange delegates this year passed, and will now be part of our Legislative doctrine.
The resolution, crafted by Master Novoselic, calls for increased accountability and transparency for the Washington State Redistricting Commission. It asks the Washington State Auditor to conduct an audit of the Commission in a timely manner, providing the Legislature with the opportunity to review before the vote. Separate from other auditing processes, it allows the auditor the ability to seek injunction directly challenging any redistricting plan if any rules or laws were broken or ignored by the Commission.
Thank you Master Novoselic for all your electoral reform work and continuing the Granger traditions of an active citizenry, engaged in moving government to greater ethics!
Join some of your fellow Grangers and other interested citizens this Wednesday, September 2nd, from 6:30-8pm, at the Naselle Library meeting room. We’ll be further discussing our seismic situation and preparation, in addition to gearing up for the Great Washington ShakeOut!
