The Grays River Grange is hosting a candidate forum, October 8 at 7:00pm.
Attending are Wahkiakum Sheriff candidates Mark Howie and Mike Balch. Also attending are the Naselle / Grays River Valley School Board candidates. Those running will make statements and answer questions.
Refreshments will be served starting at 6:00pm.
The NOAA hydrometer is a good resource for watching the river levels during these wet storms. The station is located at our own Grange’s Ahlberg Park. The phases on the active graph are; Action, Minor and Major flooding.

On September 23rd, The Seattle Times ran two opposing opinions regarding the labeling of food ingredients containing Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). We have been discussing this issue at Grange lately.
To help people choose on I-522 this November, here is the against labeling opinion by R. James Cook, and the for labeling opinion by Andrew Stout and Luke Esser.
